Paragon Sailing Charters twin catamarans, PARAGON & PARAGON II, are the most eco-friendly, green “earth first” charter boats on Maui! Our twin vessels are designed as “performance” sailing catamarans, requiring the least amount of wind to sail any distance. Our fuel consumption on a daily average is less than 8 gallons, covering a distance of over 50 miles! We are proud to announce a partnership with GreenSurf.org, a “leader in promoting green surfing products” and CarbonFund.org, the leading nonprofit provider of carbon offsets. Paragon Sailing Charters has calculated our “carbon footprint” and have purchased carbon offsets for our annual fuel consumption.

NEW SPEED RECORD FOR PARAGON II!
Paragon Sailing Charters' passion for sailing has drawn the attention of SAILING Magazine, whose writers and photographers recently captured the adventure of speed sailing across Maalaea Bay. With a helicopter to document the momentous occasion, PARAGON II was able to reach a new speed record of 31.4 knots under full sail. She lifted her port hull as she raced across Maalaea Bay, heading towards the panoramic of South Maui with Haleakala looming above. As the writer of SAILING Magazine wrote,

"We take hot-laps back and forth across the bay trying for more speed. From just astern I watch as a gust of wind spreads its fingers across the water - PARAGON II accelerates and I can hear wild hoots trailing in their wake. The windward hull gets hit by a wave sending spray careening over the bow and then the pontoon lifts: one foot, two, five, TEN feet in the air! In that eternity I see Paragon’s underbelly, the daggerboard and the Maui coastline in the distance. They drop the mainsheet and she settles with a splash. I come alongside and everyone is celebrating."
